SUTTON – More than 3,000 visitors attended the annual fall festival Saturday and Sunday at Waters Farm.
None was more welcome than the sun.
Picture-perfect fall weather, complete with blazing foliage, greeted visitors to the 40th annual event, a pleasant change from the rain that devastated the festival last year, organizers said.
Last year, fields filled with standing water and the farm was “as wet as a farm can be,″ said Pam Gurney Farnham, board member of Waters Farm Preservation and the daughter of the late Bud Gurney, a founder and former president of the organization.
