Donate
All gifts are appreciated, and no gift is too small. Your tax deductible donation to Waters Farm Preservation, Inc. will be used to preserve an open air museum that’s listed on the National Register of Historic Places and produce events that bring New England farming history to life.
Volunteer
Waters Farm exists today because of the volunteer efforts of hundreds of thousands of hours dedicated to the Farm over the past four decades. It is a living testament to every person who has mowed a lawn, weeded the gardens, supported an idea, worked the grounds, made apple crisp, suggested and ran an event, or raised money for the awareness of our mission. It is proof that teamwork builds strong organizations and leads to tremendous outcomes.
Waters Farm continues to be an all-volunteer organization that is the beneficiary of all those who have been involved- past, present and future generations. We welcome new volunteers to lend a helping hand at the Farm and we would love to welcome you!
We have several Work Days throughout the year for volunteers to work on grounds maintenance, small carpentry projects, building clean-up, general farm work, making apple crisp, and more.
Waters Farm Work Days is a great opportunity to gain community service hours while helping a local, all-volunteer, nonprofit living history center. Be a part of something special, and have fun while doing so!
Our Current Projects
Visitors Center
The Visitors Center, located next to the farmhouse, will be a climate controlled state of the art facility with handicapped accessibility and indoor restrooms. The Visitors Center will be used for educational and community events and the display and preservation of six generations of Waters family artifacts and records.
We’re coming down the home stretch of this multiyear project in 2025 as we raise the funds to finish and outfit the interior of the facility including meeting and display space, a climate controlled historical archive, and a ground floor workshop with additional space for storage.
Stage
The new stage at Waters Farm will be used for plays, educational presentations, and agricultural demonstrations. Other possible uses include our Back to School Movie Night and announcements for the annual Easter egg hunt and the Fall Farm Days festival. The stage may also be used for small outdoor community events and concerts.
The funding for this beautiful new stage was provided by a $150,000 grant that was sponsored by Massachusetts State Senator Ryan Fattman.
