Last Saturday, Waters Farm celebrated Independence Day with the Sutton’s 4th of July parade. Participants included the Sutton Preservationist 4-H club, Brian and MaryBeth Garrett in historical costume, and Waters family relatives Chelsea, David, and Virginia Waters Ursin, plus their small cart pulled by Sprinkles the pony. Orrin and Matthew Rosebrooks used their 1940 John Deere tractor to pull an antique 1920 Simplicity, eight-horsepower, hit-and-miss engine and saw rig originally from Norman Perry’s The Maples Farm, which Waters Farm received as a donation restored by Rene Hebert. We hope you enjoy the holiday and join us for more historical events throughout the year!
