Visitor Center

Currently under construction (as of September 2024), the Visitor Center is on the approximate site of the original Nathan’s Barn, constructed in 1840 but lost in the Hurricane of 1938. The “Cook Barn” which was there for many years was not a historic building and was demolished due to structural issues. This new accessible visitor center will house a  meeting room, office, museum, restrooms, and climate-controlled historical archival storage.
