Corn Crib
The building known as the Corn Crib, once located on a working farm, was donated to Waters Farm in May of 2007. The wood used for construction of the building looks to be more than one hundred years old. It was used for corn storage; once harvested the corn was stored in the building where air was allowed to flow, and the corn dried without becoming moldy. The steeply pitched roof would have allowed rainwater to run off the sides and not enter into the building. The Waters Farm Corn Barn made the trip from Uxbridge on a tow truck traveling 20 miles per hour with a state police escort and then a Sutton police escort when it reached the town border. Currently repairs are being done on the building, which will eventually be used for storage.
